Eligibility Criteria for Tezpur University Non-Teaching Recruitment
Age Limit
- Internal Audit Officer: Not exceeding 56 years
- Assistant Registrar: Not exceeding 40 years
- Assistant (Administration): Not exceeding 35 years
- Laboratory Assistant: Not exceeding 32 years
- Junior Accountant (Administration): Not exceeding 32 years
- Upper Division Clerk (Administration): Not exceeding 32 years
- Lower Division Clerk (Administration): Not exceeding 32 years
- Multi-Tasking Staff: Not exceeding 32 years
Age Relaxation: As per government guidelines. (Please check the official notification.)
Educational Qualifications
Internal Audit Officer:
- Officers from Audit and Accounts Services or similar organized Accounts Services in Central/State Government, holding analogous posts on a regular basis.
OR - Three years of regular service in Level-11 or equivalent in Audit and Accounts.
OR - Five years of regular service in Level-10 or equivalent in Audit and Accounts.
Assistant Registrar:
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade wherever a grading system is followed.
Assistant (Administration):
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Three years of experience as UDC or equivalent in Level-4 in Central/State Government/University/PSU/Autonomous Bodies or in reputed private companies/banks with annual turnover of at least ₹200 Crores.
- Proficiency in typing, computer applications, noting, and drafting.
Laboratory Assistant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance of sophisticated scientific instruments in laboratories of reputed organizations with annual turnover of at least ₹200 Crores.
Junior Accountant (Administration):
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Two years’ experience as Lower Division Clerk or equivalent.
- Typing speed: English @35 WPM or Hindi @30 WPM.
- Proficiency in computer operations.
Upper Division Clerk (Administration):
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Two years’ experience as Lower Division Clerk or equivalent.
- Typing speed: English @35 WPM or Hindi @30 WPM.
- Proficiency in computer operations.
Lower Division Clerk:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Typing speed: English @35 WPM or Hindi @30 WPM (equivalent to 10,500 KDPH/9,000 KDPH).
- Proficiency in computer operations.
Multi-Tasking Staff:
- 10th pass from a recognized board OR ITI pass.

- SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted.
