About SAMARTH Admission Portal
To simplify the undergraduate admission process in Assam, the Government of Assam introduced the SAMARTH Admission Portal from the 2023–2024 academic session. This common online platform covers admissions to Four-Year UG Courses and Five-Year Integrated Masters Programs across Government, Provincialized, Private, PDUAM, Government Model Colleges, and State Universities in Assam.
Samarth is a Ministry of Education initiative under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT-III). It provides Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with a cloud-based, comprehensive ERP system to manage planning, delivery, and monitoring of services for students and staff.

Assam Government Fee Waiver Scheme
To ensure accessibility for economically disadvantaged students, Assam Government offers tuition fee waivers for students applying through the SAMARTH portal into 1st Year of H.S./B.A./B.Sc./B.Com and M.A./M.Sc./M.Com courses.
Note: Fee waivers are only available for applications submitted via the SAMARTH platform.
How to Apply for Assam College Admission (2025–26)
From 2023 onwards, traditional admission processes have been replaced with the online Samarth Portal method.
Application Steps:
- Scroll down to the Important Web-Links section.
- Click the Online Application Form link.
- Register with your basic details (match with Class X Board Marksheet).
- Fill in personal and educational details.
- Upload required documents.
- Submit the form and download the acknowledgement receipt.
- Keep a printout of your form and acknowledgement for future reference.
Admission Process:
- Step 1: Registration and profile creation start from 11th April 2025 at 4 PM.
- Step 2: After Class 12 results, students choose their preferred colleges and courses. (Registration remains open during Step 2.)

- Signature
- HSLC/Equivalent Registration Certificate, Admit Card, Marksheet, Pass Certificate
