About DHE Assam Student Unique ID
The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Assam has made it mandatory for all students seeking online admission, starting from the academic session 2020-2021, to generate a Unique Student ID. To facilitate this, DHE has launched a web portal for Unique ID generation for students aspiring to enroll in various State Universities, Government, and Provincialised Colleges under Higher Education (General).
Note: Even if students have already completed admission forms or taken admission, generating a Unique ID is compulsory.

Steps to Generate DHE Assam Student Unique ID
- Visit the important web links section of the DHE portal.
- Click on the “Generate Unique ID” link.
- Fill in all required fields:
- Personal Information
- Examination & Course Information
- Bank Account Details
- Certify your details by checking the “I certify…” section and then Submit the form.
- Upon successful registration, you will receive your Unique ID. A confirmation SMS will also be sent to your registered mobile number. Save your Unique ID for future reference.
Important:
Students who already generated a Unique ID in the previous academic session do not need to create a new one. The same ID can be reused. For any updates or corrections, students must log in and update their profile accordingly.
DHE Assam Student Unique ID Correction Process
Students can correct their submitted data even after final submission by following these steps:

- Click on the “Update/Correction Form” link.
- Update the required information:
- Personal Information
- Examination & Course Information
- Bank Account Details
- Submit the corrected details.
Important Dates
- Start Date of Online Registration: 5th July 2020
- Last Date of Online Registration: No fixed deadline.
Important Notes
- Ensure all information entered is accurate.
- A confirmation SMS will be sent upon successful registration.
- The Unique ID must be used during admission into State Universities and Government/Provincialised Colleges under Higher Education (General), Assam.
- Each student can generate only one Unique ID.
